All workshops are conducted in small groups by Nancy Brooks, a licensed R.E.A.D. instructor. 

These workshops are for therapy team handlers to learn how to conduct R.E.A.D. sessions and to learn techniques for effective mentoring.

This workshop is designed for R.E.A.D. teams that have been active in R.E.A.D. and now want to:

• Understand more educational and behavioral theories that R.E.A.D. supports
• Learn new techniques to implement in their R.E.A.D. program
• Discuss issues and ideas they have encountered in their program
• Share their R.E.A.D. experiences and network with other R.E.A.D. teams.

Students will learn the history, principles and evidence-based guidelines to practice Animal Assisted Therapy.  This course will highlight a variety of community-based AAT interactions along with in-class and field trip demonstrations.

This 3 credit course is open to juniors, seniors, graduate students, as well as the general public.
