About R.E.A.D. Dogs Minnesota
R.E.A.D. Dogs Minnesota is an affiliate program of the national R.E.A.D. organization.
The goal of R.E.AD. Dogs Minnesota is to improve the literacy of children in our communities through the use of our therapy animal partners. We are 'improving literacy one tail at a time!'
This is being accomplished by:
- Providing information about the R.E.A.D. program
- Conducting R.E.A.D. training workshops
- Helping to match volunteers and facilities to each other
- Publicizing R.E.A.D. news and volunteer accomplishments
- Creating and facilitating R.E.A.D. events
- Providing educational and networking opportunities for R.E.A.D. volunteers
R.E.A.D. Dogs Minnesota was created and is managed by Nancy
Brooks,
a licensed R.E.A.D. instructor and active therapy team volunteer since
2003.
